Cycling Support

At Eclipse we can help make any cycle challenge easier with the luxury of a support vehicle to follow you.

We can provide transport to carry your food and drink, spare clothing, wheels, encouraging friends and anything else you may need for the day’s challenge. We can also supply you with a cycle guide to navigate and ride the route with you.

The Fred Whitton Route

fred_whitton.jpgOne popular route in the Lake District is the Fred Whitton. It is one of Britain's toughest and notorious rides and it can now be done at any time of the year and an official time recorded.

This 112 mile route starts and finishes in Coniston and includes the grueling Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott and Wrynose passes.

If you would like your ride to be officially timed, you can register and collect a loaned timing card and a rider information leaflet from the Coniston Tourist Information Centre. Once you have the timing card you can plan to do your ride whenever it suits you.
